Learning to Fly … by Learning to Follow: Practical Discipleship is an ensemble of 23 topics on how to practically follow Christ in real life. It is not necessarily loyal to the contemporary notion of elevating self and man. It is rather about being ready to die to self, to take up your cross and follow the Lord and Saviour of our lives, even if it is uncom-fortable, painful and brings about persecution to do so. This manual is informative and concise, with down-to-earth principles to apply in one’s personal life. It is a handy, Scripture-based tool from which one can also teach others.
Learning to Fish: Preparation for the Field is an ensemble of 20 topics on how to practically prepare for the mission field – on how to become and be a missionary. It is not only a helpful, down-to-earth tool for aspirant missionaries, but also for those who are already on the field and in ministry. It is informative, concise and practical in its approach to train missionaries. It is not intended as an in-depth study of any of its 20 topics, because a myriad of books exist to help missionaries and other workers in each aspect of their work. However, this would be a helpful and valuable work tool for individuals and for mission agencies who train people in preparation for the mission field!
